I finally added a blogroll to my sidebar, listing all the blogs I read on a regular basis. I don't know why, but I've always felt resistant to doing that, as if I were exposing myself. But I'm not exposing myself, I'm exposing them!
I like blogrolls for the same reason I like to know what books a person likes to read. It tells you something about them. For example, I've noticed that a lot of the blogs I read have Mom-101 on their blogrolls. That tells me that they appreciate a progressive, urban, funny point of view.
Ack! So it's just as I thought...I AM exposing myself.
I always enjoy looking at people's blogrolls, though - to see who they are reading. I like the interconnectedness of it: recognizing people, etc. I think that is another reason I decided that it was time.
